The Ian Mosey Group are a family owned and operated business consisting of three companies, the parent company Ian Mosey Ltd, and two subsidiary companies Ian Mosey (Livestock) Ltd and Ian Mosey (Feed) Ltd. Ian Mosey (Livestock) Ltd principal activity is finishing pigs for the UK pork industry. 

A proportion of these pigs are bought in as 7kg weaners however the business also breeds piglets for the finishing operation across a number of breeding herds across the country. Ian Mosey (Feed) Ltd manufacture and supply pig, poultry, cattle, sheep and game compound feed to both external customers and to our internal pig farm base.

This graduate trainee role has been designed for graduates who are passionate about working within agriculture and specifically within the livestock industry. We have designed this role to enable the successful candidate to enhance their skills and competencies across a broad range of functions within our business with a view to facilitating fast progression within our business.

The role represents an exciting and thorough introduction to the business’s supply chain with exposure from pig breeding through to the finishing of pigs and all elements of our supply chain from start to finish. As part of the Livestock division you will rotate through different teams, gaining a rounded experience from working in a variety of disciplines. Our Graduate scheme runs for 24 months and will provide you with essential skills and exposure at every stage of our diverse functions including:

• Supply Chain & Planning - Pig Supply Chain Planning and Transport Planning
• Pig Finishing & Farm Compliance
• Business Support Services
• Breeding and Production
• In addition to placements within different teams, project work will run in parallel for maximum experience and level of challenge.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for passionate and driven individuals, striving to achieve and looking to progress within agriculture. We are looking for degree educated (or equivalent) candidates ideally with business, finance, supply chain or agriculture disciplines. The ability to work as an individual and within a team is a must, alongside a can-do positive approach at all times.

This is a full-time role with a salary of  £22,000.00-£25,000.00 pa.
