Production Operator

Due to rapid growth, a number of Mill Production Operators are required for a reputable family owned business, manufacturing and supplying animal feed across the North of England. The role is fulltime, working 12 hour shifts on a 4-week rotating shift pattern, both days (6am-6pm) and nights (6pm-6am), with every other weekend off!

Negotiable salary dependent upon experience

You will ideally have experience working as a Production Operator in a Mill environment, although training and development is available for candidates demonstrating potential and aptitude.

As a Production Operator you'll be responsible for:

• Operating machinery and computerised process control systems
• Loading and unloading LGV vehicles
• Ensuring all areas are maintained to Hygiene, Health and Safety and Quality standards at all times

Experience and Skills required:

• Machine operating experience
• Familiarity with a production and/or farming environment preferred but training will be provided
• Telehandler and Counterbalance licence is desirable
• Able to work in a small team as well as being self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Proactive and flexible approach to day-to-day tasks and change
• Physically fit and the ability to remain focused in a busy and demanding manufacturing environment
